Santos Mahogany or better known as Cabreuva, grows in Central and South America (Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru). It is one of the most sought after exotic species. It is distinguished by rich reddish brown color and very fine and even grain texture. Much like other tropical wood species, the color of Cabreuva wood deepens and darkens over time and is very hard and resistant to moisture and temperature fluctuation.
