Ipe Lapaccho Sap is know for being one of the hardest woods in the world from the Tropical Americas (central and south America). It’s hardwood can vary in color from a more yellowish olive brown (Sapwood); sometimes with contrasting darker brown/black stripes. Overall, Ipe is a difficult wood to work, being extremely hard and dense, with high cutting resistance during sawing. It is commonly used as flooring, decking, exterior lumber, veneer, tool handles and other objects.
