Cumaru is also known as Brazilian Teak. It is a tropical wood species that grows in South America along the Amazon River. Cumaru is an extrememly durable exotic wood, It has a relatively uniform soft brown color. Color variation is slight and varies from soft brown to a deeper reddish brown with occassional dark stripes. Unlike most exotic wood species, Cumaru barely changes color over time or when exposed to intense sunlight.
